In the world of commercial property management in Canberra, there’s one name synonymous with genuine care, professionalism and success – Natalie Shawcross.
 
With a curiosity and passion for buildings sparked from a young age, nurtured during her childhood years as she shadowed her Mum across the shopping centres she managed, it has since transformed into a 15 year career that’s seen Natalie work with clients of all demographics. Ranging from as small as boutique retail holdings to as significant as high-level Australian Government departments, they all benefit from the unprecedented level of authentic compassion that only Natalie can offer. No matter the size of the business, she wholeheartedly wants to see her clients secure a robust return on their investment, and she wants tenants to feel validated and appreciated in the process. Spurred on by a philosophy a former mentor instilled in her that “a building should always present as if it’s three months away from sale”, it’s why she takes enormous pride in aesthetics and maintenance and why both the tenant and the landlord are valued equally in the commercial management process.
No stranger to working under pressure, for five years Natalie managed the facilities of a high-level federal government department - a job which required diligent 24/7 attention with zero margin for error. In this role, not only did she oversee the tenant equipment, but she was also tasked with managing the building on behalf of the landlord, a site spanning some 4000m2.
 
When she’s not immersed in the world of Canberra’s commercial property, you’ll find Natalie happily doting on her sweet canine companion, Freyja, or proving her home economics teachers wrong by sewing creations high-school Natalie could only have dreamed of! She’s also humbled to give back to the community and raised just over $15,000 with her business partner, Jason Roses, for the CEO Sleepout, which aims to end the cycle of homelessness for all Australians.
